Aims and Objectives

  • To enhance understanding for staff on how Covid-19 and subsequent restrictions has impacted both their students and themselves
  • To develop a broad understanding of trauma and it’s impact on our emotional, physical, mental and social health
  • To understand and apply a trauma framework to Covid-19 restrictions, understanding the ‘pre-conditions for trauma’ that have been created by the pandemic
  • To understand how different young people have been impacted differently
  • To understand behaviour using this trauma lens and to provide support and strategies accordingly

Course Details

Training will be presented live via Microsoft Teams on a number of dates throughout September and once monthly in October and November. When you register for the training you will be sent a Teams Link the day before your chosen date to then access the training on that date and time. You can join the training 15 minutes prior to start time, please join the training on time as a registration will be taken to ensure that you can then be emailed materials on completion of the training.

AM Sessions will take place from 9.30am - 12.30pm

PM Sessions will take place from 1.00pm - 4.00pm
