Aims:
Understand the needs of children and young people with a Statement of SEN for Social, Behavioural, Emotional and Wellbeing (SBEW) needs
Enable Classroom Assistants to use a range of Strategies and resources to promote inclusion of children and young people with a Statement of SEN for Social, Behavioural, Emotional and Wellbeing needs
Learning Outcomes
Explore Strategies which can be used to reconnect the existing relationships and to develop new positive relationships with pupils who have SBEW needs.
Understand the importance of resilience development for pupils with SBEW needs.
Identify effective practice which will nurture the development of resilience for pupils with SBEW needs.
Identify the skills, support and strategies that can be used to nurture belonging, raise self-awareness and to reduce tension for pupils with SBEW needs.
Please note: This course consists of 3 sessions: Reconnecting Relationships, Building Resilience and Planning Support -Participants must attend all 3 sessions
